Frequently Asked Questions 2 year fixed rate rental

Q. Is this a lease or a rental?
A. It is a rental which is technically an Operating Lease with Hamilton Services effectively the head lessor and therefore all the risk of ownership lies with Hamilton - title, depreciation, residuals etc.

Q. How do I account for the rental?
A. It is an off balance sheet operating expense - no capital outlay.

Q. How will I be invoiced?
A. Invoicing is quarterly in advance, but other options will be considered.

Q. Do I have to take out a separate maintenance contract?
A. No, on-site manufacturer's standard maintenance is provided but you can upgrade to a higher service level of manufacturer maintenance - prices on application.

Q. Can I have a different specification?
A. Absolutely - the examples and prices are based on pre-configured specifications by way of illustration but we can provide other configurations and models.

Q. At these prices, is this 'grey' equipment?
A. No, it is equipment that is in the manufacturer's current catalogue, sourced through authorised channels and fully supported by the manufacturer.

Q. Can I terminate the rental before the end of the contract?
A. No - this is an extremely competitive rate which we can only offer for a committed 24 month period. We can, however, negotiate mid-term termination prices that reflect our risk.

Q. Do I have to sign a lease agreement?
A. No but you do have to agree to our terms and conditions of rental (Link to Terms and Conditions) and we may carry out our usual credit checks.

Q. What happens at the end of the contract?
A. You can extend the contract, purchase the equipment (and we can provide a maintenance contract for ongoing support), we can quote you for a new system or you can simply return the equipment with nothing further to pay.
